Mother's Day and Updates

Well, Mr. William (as we like to call him) just turned 8 months old. It is blowing my mind that I need to start thinking about his 1st birthday! He has changed so much in the past few weeks...he started crawling early april and then got really good at it around the 17th. He loves to go "exploring" with his daddy. Lee will say...come on William...lets go exploring and then they crawl together all over the house. He gets really excited and starts laughing...William, that is. Its hilarious. And he also started pulling up about a week after that, so of course he's getting into everything and gone are the days I can put him in one spot on the floor and let him play for a few minutes.

He also, poor thing, had his first ear infection. Although i never would have known anything was wrong with him until he started running a fever. He was a trooper. Hopefully he won't have too many more. But we did find out he weighed 22lbs. 8 oz at 7 months.

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend in Edna. My dad and brothers and Robert Clay of course were working cattle so William got to go check out the cows for the first time. He stared for about 5 minutes and then he started having a conversation with them. He also "swam" in his little baby pool for the first time. He loved it so much we tried it the next day with Hudson. I got a coupon book from William for a free foot rub, car wash and kitchen cleaning...I'm not sure if that was Lee's genius way of making me wait about 10 years until I can redeem them..hmmm. I also got a pottery barn gift card and some super mushy emotional cards from my brothers. They said things like you stink...you're a dorky mom...etc.

All in all it was a good weekend...sorry for the long wait on updates..things are getting crazy around here! How on earth does anyone with multiple children get anything done....you are my heroes.

Here are some pics from the past few weeks!
Sleeping like I did when I was a baby...apparently its genetic
Not sure where on earth this came from. He falls asleep while he's playing and will just stay there in the splits...hilarious!

Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter! The Eidsons and the Whitleys combined to create an explosion of fun, craziness, and great food. We all went to Lee's parents' b-e-a-utiful new home in Dripping Springs. We had such a great time relaxing and playing with William. While we were there he learned to go from a crawling position to sitting, so that was fun that all of the grandparents got to witness his latest development. On Sunday we spent the morning greeting each other with "He is Risen" and then replying "He is Risen indeed!" We went to a little country Baptist church called Sunset Canyon. They had a beautiful service and it was fun to drop in on a new church and be reminded that the Gospel is the same no matter where you worship. William was perfect, he got all of his "talking" out during the singing and then fell asleep just as the sermon was starting...just like his Papa (just kiddin dad). I was kind of nervous about how he would do because lately he just gets too excited during church to stay in. I think he was just so exhausted from the weekend. He doesn't like to take naps when the whole family is together, I think he's afraid he'll miss out on the fun.

This weekend is going to be pretty busy for us. Today we're hoping to go see my cousin Rob's little boy play baseball (weather permitting) ,then tomorrow we're helping out Amy , Cameron and Hudson at their mega garage sale, then on to our sunday school's crazy hat game night..should make for a fun evening!

Here are some pics of our weekend. Oh, and William took three steps forward crawling yesterday. I call them steps because I don't know what else to call them? Anybody know? Three knees, three hands...so confusing.

William's new favorite thing....aerobics and stretching :)

Playin on great grandpa Walt's sweet corvette

Quick post

I HAD to take pictures of William in his boots before he outgrows them...so here are some of the best from our "photo shoot." And then last night I found him in his crib using the bear on the end of his blanket as a pillow...genius and cute!

6 month update

Well, William is now 6 1/2 months old (can't believe that by the way) and growing like a weed. We had his checkup on the ninth and he is, to quote the doc, "off the charts" on height (28 1/2") and 85th percentile for weight (19lbs 2 oz.).
He is hilarious. We laugh all the time. One of the funniest things about him is that instead of laughing he just screams really loud when he thinks something is funny with a little laugh at the end. And he doesn't know a stranger...he LOVES people and always has to see what is goin on. When I push him in his stroller he has to sit up all the way so he can look around and check everybody out. I think he has his daddy's personality....he likes to know how things work, he loves the remote, he watches tv with his mouth open, and he talks a lot :) love you Lee!

And...I think he is getting ready to crawl! Ahhh, I am NOT ready. Last week he started pushing up on all fours and rocking back and forth and this week he is getting really good at it. We'll keep you posted!

Weesie came last week to visit during her spring break. We had a great time playing with William, shopping and eating way too much food. Its fun to see how much William loves her and gets excited about her. William also got to spend time with Lee's family. We celebrated aunt Laura's belated birthday. Yeah for Wii and TGI Fridays!

Here are some pics....oh, and we're having a major garage sale the first weekend in April, come on out and buy stuff! Or just pray for us...its gonna be CRAZY!!!

Look out world! Here I come!

William and Dad...
I think we're all slightly obsessed with hats....hmmmm
Cutest picture ever...I'm pretty sure...
Sportin his Roboman digital master shirt...compliments of Aunt Laura

Toofies

William has gotten his two bottom teeth in! He's looking more like a little boy everyday, and not like a baby...sniff, sniff. I didn't think I would be sad about it, because I can't wait for him to walk and talk , but I surprised myself ( I know my mom is saying I told you so right now!). He has outgrown his car seat and all of his clothes! I got some twelve month clothes just in case....well, he's wearing it. I don't know why this surprises me either. I was a gigantoid of a child and so was Lee. All of my preschool pics through jr. high are hilarious (maybe I'll post some someday!)

On a funny note I thought I would share some of the things Lee and I do now that we're parents. The other day we all went out as a family to Bass Pro and I said to Lee..."you'll never guess what I just did. I just put a booger in my pocket." And no, it was not mine :) No wipes, or trash can in sight...you gotta do what you gotta do right? Lee also likes to sing songs to William. He changes the words of any song to fit...for example..
1. You ask what his name is, yes you do. His name is William now I told you his name.

Just recently he Williamized the Ting Ting song That's not my name.

2. They call me baby, they call me Bill, they call me sockhands, they call me Hank. That's not my name, That's not my name, That's not my name, My name is William.
There are many many more and William LOVES to be sung to..sang to..sung to?

Oh (I know I'm rambling) and W sleeps like a maniac. Last night I was watching the monitor (you know Techman has a crazy video monitor set up, 22"inch screen, I call it Babyvision) and William had rolled over on to his stomach and had one arm on the bumper and was using it to climb up the length of the crib...in his sleep! He also talks in his sleep and smiles in his sleep....silly boy.

On a serious note, please pray for the Martin family. This past Saturday their ranch caught fire outside of Edna and apprx. 2000 acres were burned. Through all of the chaos and uncertainty (lots of family members and friends out fighting the biggest fire you can imagine) God showed himself in numerous, mighty ways. All of the houses were spared and no one was hurt, but the process of getting things back to normal will be a long one.

Now of course, here are some pics.
Kinda hard to see, but there are two little bottom teeth.
Yay for bath time!
My mom took this, she loves to put blankets on him and say he's baby Jesus...totally normal right??

5 Month Update

So William is about 5 1/2 months old now. According to our bathroom scale he was about 19lbs but we'll get the official measurements at his 6 mo appt. on March 9th. Time sure has flown by. He does so many new things now. He sits up (topples over every now and then :), holds his own bottle, and my favorite..plays peekaboo. I have always played it with him and the other day I noticed he kept putting his bib over his face and then finally I figured out what he was doing. He'll wait for me to say "Where's William?" and then he pulls it down real fast and makes a surprise face. He's so much fun, there is never a dull moment. This past weekend we celebrated Lee's 27th birthday. On Friday we went to the park, Lee fished and William and I went for a walk. Then we played with William under some trees..he loved looking at everything around him. Then we had dinner with Amy, Cameron and Hudson and got some great pics of Hudson and William playing together. It went pretty well until William decided to kiss Hudson which means he grabbed his face pulled it to him and licked him. I don't think Hudson enjoyed it very much! Then we spent all day Saturday with Lee's fam and had a great time relaxing and playing Wii.

Yum

We've decided to start calling William "Yum" after my good friend Ruth told us a hilarious story about a lady who named her son Liam but pronouced it Yum because that's how you pronouce the second half of William. Pretty creative we thought! Anywho, Yum started rolling over both ways this past week! He's so funny..he can't decide which way he likes best, on his tummy or on his back so he switches over all the time. He has also started grabbing your face and putting his mouth on your cheek like he's trying to kiss you...so sweet...slobbery, but sweet. He had his 4mo. checkup on the 14th. He weighed 16.8lbs and was 26" long. He was in the 80th percentile for weight and 90th for height. He took his shots like a champ...cried for 30 secs and then was laughing by the time I picked him up thank goodness. You feel so horrible when they're lying there so happy and you know your about to make them cry, even though the nurse does it. You still feel like its your fault! He also has started putting his hand on the side of his head like you do when you act like you're gonna give someone a high five and then you psyche them out. I will post a pic so you can visualize, its hilarious though. Well, I think that's all the news for now. Lee had a good trip to The Netherlands for work, ate a lot of weird food. Apparently everything is served with mayo or some sort of mayo sauce..mmmm. He has posted some pics on his blog.

He looks like my baby pictures only when he's sleeping :)
Sleeping through the inauguration. Guess he got tired of Charlie and Diane saying how in love they are with Obama. I agree William, got a little redundant.
Up high..ohhh...too slow

I LOVE my puppy dog rattle! I LOVE my daddy! And standing up...
I LOVE the awesome hats my mom makes me wear!
And I LOVE my choo choo jammies and so does my mom.

Oh, yeah...and I LOVE kissing my weesie.
